Some see outdoor advertising as a costly show off that doesn’t pay up as it should. However, in most cases I think it’s more closely related to art or pure creativity if you like; and the main reason for that is because Creative Directors are far more constrained when it comes to outdoor. Budgets are infinitely smaller and thus big companies are more willing to risk and accept bold ideas. And if you will look carefully at the list below, you’re going to see that the outdoor ads that I’ve selected are the perfect expression of some daring ad agencies.
However, as you’ll notice, not all companies are huge. Nonetheless, with these ads they’ve certainly reached more than they would have under different circumstances. From this list, my favorites are from two car companies: Seat and Mini. The latter although rather simple, it did made me smile.
