The Avengers, which had its premiere on the 11^th of April (in the US), has already surpassed the $1 billion barrier as regards to revenues from tickets. Standing today at approx. $1.3 billion, this number makes it the most profitable movie in the history of the cinema. That’s 6 times more than the amount invested by Paramount Studios ($220 million).
