We have gathered what we think are 20 Of the Finest Geneva Motor Show Posters. As probably most of you know, Geneva (alongside Detroit) is the most famous motor show in the world. The first Geneva “Salon” (to use the French native word) was held in March 1905; that’s exactly 107 years ago. A lot of history, isn’t it? In fact, the Salon is proud to have hosted every major internal combustion engine (including cars run by steam engines, which where famous at the beginning of the 20th Century).
Its first poster dates back to 1924 and you’ll be seeing it below. It’s quite an interesting one, because it associates a car with bird wings, probably symbolizing the “stunning” speed that an automobile could have achieved. Actually, in that period there were still a lot of carriages, and the vast majority of people where still using the horse to travel small and medium distances. So, for them a car ride was really a dazzling!

Now, I don’t know, but it seems that the vintage posters are actually better than the latest ones. For example, the 2012 poster is extremely horrible. Nevertheless, enjoy, be inspired and if you will like this article, then please share it with your friends or community! Many thanks! Cheers!
