Bruges is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Located in the north western part of Belgium, its canals and historical buildings resemble incredibly with another fairy tale place – Venice. With a population of only just over 100.000 people, Bruges is a quiet and charming place.
Nevertheless, the movie that best describes this absolutely gorgeous place is In Bruges (2008) with Collin Farrell. Actually, Farrell won his one and only major award, the Golden Globe for his role as Ray, a hit man suffering from depression. Ironically, the whole action takes place in Bruges – a city than can be also described as nostalgic.
