Nevertheless, Absinthe is classified as a spirit (it contains between 45 and 74% of alcohol) and it’s made from the flower and leaves of a plant called Artemisia absinthium. This is of course only the main ingredient of the drink. Absinthe originally appeared in Switzerland, in the second half of the 18^th Century. Man, these guys have it all!
